2019 is Coming to an End! How About a Round-up?

Wow, 2019 has been such a year! Since we’re officially in the holiday season, I figured we can take a look back at this whirlwind of a first year being a Charleston based wedding photographer, starting with the amazing Charleston Woodlands Styled Wedding Shoot I participated in! Charleston Woodlands Styled Wedding Shoot

Today I’m going to share this WONDERFUL styled shoot, and it was my FIRST living in the South! It was back in late May, and it showcased two beautiful coastal styles – one inspired by a natural, neutral, West Coast vibe, and the other a more colorful, fun East Coast design. It all took place at the beautiful Woodlands Nature Reserve, aka Charleston Woodlands, which is opening its space to host weddings. What a beautiful outdoor venue! There are 6000 ACRES of gorgeous woodlands, with sparkling lakes, and of course the iconic live oak trees, draped in Spanish moss.. Wow..just have a look at the scenery this lovely piece venue offers!

I’m sharing each style separately, because some vendors worked on East Coast, while others worked separately on West Coast. I’ll share the info on all the amazing vendors that took part in each section style before each set of photos. All of these wedding professionals are awesome at what they do!

West Coast – Charleston Woodlands Styled Wedding Shoot

A natural style, with succulents and moss, deep, colorful florals, lace gowns, dashing tuxedos, a calming place to relax, with natural updos and makeup. A lovely honeycomb arbor set the scene for the ceremony with flowers, candles and moss, and what a cute painting of River, the rescue pup! In addition, check out the fun, mobile bar that Wander Bar provides, and the relaxing, air conditioned Southern Smokes Cigars trailer lounge. They’re sure to keep your guests entertained and happy. Who wouldn’t want them at their wedding?

East Coast – Charleston Woodlands Styled Wedding Shoot

Fun gingham and bright colors allowed a spring vibe to fill the air. Full gowns and stunning blue tuxes made for a vibrant wedding party. Tangerine and pink flowers and accents added to the eclectic mix. Everything was in the perfect location: lakeside, under the gorgeous oak trees.
