Ji Eun and Nathanael came to Charleston from North Carolina to say their vows and celebrate their marriage this spring. Along with their adorable daughters, parents, grandparents, and siblings, the happy couple spent a beautiful day creating new, lifelong memories, by having a lovely, intimate Charleston wedding.
The day began by getting ready in a gorgeous residence on Isle of Palms – where our team not only captured everyone getting ready, but we were also treated to an amazing surprise of a delicious breakfast! This truly made us feel welcome and appreciated, and only was the start of showing how kind and loving this family is.
After finishing getting ready, we headed downtown to White Point Garden, where the ceremony took place. What a beautiful ceremony! Everything was inside the gazebo, including seating for the guests, which made this wedding wonderfully intimate. It was full of self-written vows, emotions, and familial love.
After some fun portraits of Ji and Nate, and their family inside the park, we headed back to the Isle of Palms residence. We had some time to relax, eat again (some delish finger foods were shared all around), and also some more fun portraits..on the beach!
Not only were these beach portraits the start of a new found love of beach portraits for me, but they really made me SO happy that we moved down to Charleston. These portraits on the beach were like a wow moment for me..I saw the variety of the beautiful landscape just on the beach alone. More importantly, I also realized just how amazing this new journey was going to be – not just in the beauty of the places where I was photographing couples, but also in the magic that I will have a hand in creating for even more people in love, in such wonderful places. I’ve totally fallen in love with Charleston!
So, after some fun on the beach, we headed back downtown to Fulton Five restaurant. The family celebrated with dinner and laughs in the upstairs private room, with dancing on the patio, just outside. Together, everyone shared the stories, memories, and laughs with the newlyweds.
Ji and Nate, I want to thank you for having me photograph your special Charleston wedding. I had such a great time with you and your family, and you all truly had us feeling like we were part of your family, too! Thank you for being one of my first Southern couples to work with! It was an honor, and I hope you enjoy your memories for generations to come.
Here are my favorite photos from the day!
