Happy 2018! I’ve been away from blogging for some time now, and I’ve decided that I would LOVE to start up again, as one of my goals for the year. I love to share my work, and although right now I’m starting by looking through the archives, I have tons to add! Stay tuned! 🙂

I started working with Jessie in 2010 at our old retail job, so I’ve known her for quite a while! She and Mike have been together for a long time as well, so I was happy to hear that they had gotten engaged. 

Jessie asked me to photograph their engagement session, as she’s known my passion and love for photography – I was a photographer back then, too. Needless to say, I was happy to oblige! We agreed on the beautifully charming Historic Richmond Town, which is one of my favorite places to photograph on Staten Island – it has old, interesting buildings, walking paths, stone buildings, and lots of greenery, which all looks beautiful later in the day when the sun is lowering in the sky. I’ll add an earlier engagement session I photographed here for another past coworker of mine!

Jessie brought along many ideas for their engagement session, which added some quirkiness, but also lots of romance! Huge balloons, meaningful details like the coordinates of the place the couple met, and scrabble letters, brought a personalized touch to the photos.
